This filter set is suitable for various Vent-Axia Positive Input Ventilation systems (PIV) from the PoziDry and PureAir Home ranges. The filters are used in, among others, loft-mounted units that are installed in the attic and supply filtered air to the home through a central ceiling diffuser.

The Vent-Axia PoziDry is a Positive Input Ventilation system, commonly abbreviated to PIV. The system continuously supplies a small amount of filtered air to the home.
With a loft-mounted model, air is drawn from the ventilated attic space, filtered and then supplied to the home through a ceiling diffuser. The supplied air spreads throughout the property and displaces humid and polluted indoor air through ventilation grilles, transfer openings and existing exhaust routes.
A PIV system is often installed in existing homes to help reduce high humidity, condensation, stale air and mould growth.
The air supplied by a PoziDry system enters the living environment directly. The filter prevents dust, pollen, insects, fibres and other contaminants from the attic space or outdoor air from being blown into the home without filtration.
When a filter becomes dirty, its airflow resistance increases. This may cause:
Regular inspection and timely replacement are therefore important for both indoor air quality and the performance of the ventilation system.
A G4 filter, generally referred to as ISO Coarse under the current ISO classification, is suitable for capturing larger particles from the supplied air.

The G4 version offers a good combination of filtration and relatively low airflow resistance. It is the standard filter quality used in many Vent-Axia PoziDry and PureAir Home systems.
In addition to larger contaminants, an F7 fine-particle filter captures a greater proportion of smaller airborne particles. This version may be particularly suitable for homes in urban areas, near busy roads or for residents who are sensitive to pollen and fine dust.
A fine-particle filter helps reduce, among other things:
A finer filter creates more airflow resistance than a standard filter. The finest filter is therefore not automatically the best choice for every situation. The ventilation system must still be able to supply sufficient air.
How quickly a filter becomes dirty depends on the property, its surroundings and the amount of dust and pollen in the air. Filters may become dirty more quickly in homes near busy roads, agricultural areas or construction sites than in homes in quiet, clean environments.
We recommend visually inspecting the filters at least once every six months and replacing them as soon as they are visibly dirty. In many situations, replacement will be required every six to twelve months.
Do not rely solely on a possible filter notification from the unit. Such a notification is usually based on a preset number of operating hours and does not measure how dirty the filter actually is.
Some filters are marketed as cleanable or washable. In practice, cleaning does not always remove all contamination from the filter material. Smaller dust particles in particular can remain trapped deep inside the material.
Washing, beating or forcefully vacuuming the filter may also damage the filter material and reduce its effectiveness. For reliable filtration, we therefore recommend replacing heavily contaminated filters.
The filters in a Vent-Axia PoziDry or PureAir Home unit are generally easy to access. Switch off the ventilation system before opening the unit and carefully remove the existing filters.
Install the new filters in the same position and check that they fit properly. There should be no gaps around the filters, as unfiltered air could otherwise bypass the filter material.
After closing the unit, check that the system is operating normally and that the air supply is not obstructed.
With a filter subscription, you automatically receive new filters at your chosen interval. A subscription is 10% cheaper and can be changed or cancelled at any time.
Vent-Axia has produced various PoziDry and PureAir Home versions. Always check the identification plate on your unit and compare the existing filters with the product images and specifications.
